Heidi Bremner was born in South Africa.  Much of her youth was spent in the sports arena, where she enjoyed a plethora of sports.  Her love however was gymnastics and she was a member of the National Gymnastics Team for several years.  She went on to do her undergraduate studies in South Africa, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Biokinesiology from the University of Witwatersrand in 1993.

In 1994 she moved to the United States where she graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Masters in Physical Therapy.  During her early work at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Los Angeles, she was largely influenced by the teachings of Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD.   She was later fortunate to have been exposed also to the teachings of Vladimir Janda MD, Karel Lewit MD, and Pavel Kolar PT, PhD., which further fueled her interest in movement analysis and neuromuscular development.

Ms. Bremner is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She completed a Fellowship in Movement Science at Kaiser Permanente in 2005, for which she is now an active faculty member.   She is also a certified instructor for Kolar's Approach to Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization: She is currently a physical therapy clinical specialist at Kaiser Permanente Medial Group in Los Angeles, where she treats largely in the outpatient clinic.
